 Mr. Hsu is the Chairman of the General Partner. He is recognized internationally as an expert in cross-border economic developments, public policies, and commercial transactions. Mr. Hsu・s specialty practice areas include corporate strategic planning, Asia Pacific regional economic cooperation, intellectual property rights, and financial services. These accomplishments integrate his thorough understanding of regulatory environments, local laws and public policy, coupled with an innovative approach towards business development.
Mr. Hsu is currently a professor of Law at the National Taiwan University, having joined the faculty in 1969. Mr. Hsu was formally a Senior Managing Partner of Lee & Li, the leading law firm in Taiwan with over 200 legal professionals.
From the 1970s to the 1990s, Mr. Hsu spearheaded the active promotion of foreign direct investment in Taiwan. Mr. Hsu engineered the market entry strategies for various international corporations and secured the necessary government approval, which allowed these businesses to establish themselves within the Taiwan market. Clients include McDonald・s, AMOCO Chemical, Union Carbide, IBM, Chase Manhattan Bank, Bank of America, and Chemical Bank.
